Studies have shown that with children who are active and fidgety that seating that allows them to move around a little instead of sitting on a normal chair helps them focus. I used bouncy balls in my classroom this previous year and they bounced around and off of them. One of the balls ended up with a pencil stick in it. I won't name the kiddos, bouncing on the balls is quite entertaining. With that being said, I think these stools that allow them to move will work a lot better for the group of children I have. They will help them focus while keeping them moving without too much distraction. We are a Title 1 school in a small rural town in Texas. There is not a lot of funding available to teachers, especially the “special teachers”. Any amount will help and is very much appreciated.
