The products I have chosen will give my students more choices in how and where they learn. Getting comfy in the classroom relaxes the children and opens their minds to the new book they are reading, the story they are writing and yes...even to solving the next math equation! My children have some places they already move to, such as under their desks or on the rug with a clipboard. I noticed how much more enthusiastic they are when I say it is time for math and to choose an area to work. I have also noticed a difference in the level of attention they give to their work as well as an improvement in the quality. The furniture I have chosen will give the children further choices. The seats with the adjustable backs will make reading more relaxing. The portable table tops hold supplies and the children can use a floor cushion or just go to the rug. I know children love choices...they show me everyday in their eagerness to learn when given choices. I am hoping to enhance this with more flexible seating and I can't wait to watch them soar!
