I want my students to come away from this project with a basic understanding of space and what is involved in order to explore space. I also want them to understand how math, science, reading, and writing skills are related to the professions that support space travel. I want all of my children - especially the girls - to recognize that no one is excluded from pursuing careers in the sciences - especially engineering! Students will achieve these goals by reading space-related texts, designing and building space-related​ crafts, and through hands-on experiments exploring laws of motion and other scientific principals.
