My school continues to make anti-bias lessons and actions a priority. With an extracurricular club that focuses on giving minority students a place to be seen and heard and lessons in the classrooms that address diversity and obstacles, more resources are needed to have competent lesson plans and activities. I will use these books to create curriculum that is reflective of all students. Students will have opportunities to discuss race and feel seen and heard. Classroom activities will be planned with intention to include all students and remove/ address bias that is in materials. Moving from passive to active, students will be connected and welcome to taking charge and facing conflict head on.
