The snacks and food requested will not only provide a nutritious snack throughout the school day, but it will also alleviate some of the food insecurity that so many of our students are faced with each and everyday at home and in their personal lives. These snacks will provide our students a sense of predictability and security, knowing that every day, one of their needs will be met and they will be able to learn at their highest capacity. Not only will the food items meet a need, but they it also fuel the students' ability to learn and continue to be successful for the remainder of the day. These snacks will also afford me the opportunity to use the excess of snacks to give to the students and families in need of food throughout the week and on the weekends.

About my class
