The students go see some books by their favorite author at the book fair, however their parents can’t provided them with the money to buy the books. The library has a couple copies of these high interest books by the same author, and they are usually checked out from the library. I have one or two books by their favorite author, since they are high interest books there is a good chance another student is reading it. These students are going to have to wait to get the book by their favorite author and have to read another book that is not by their favorite author. Reading is key and finding an author you like is the key to open the joy of reading to these students. I want to provided multiple books by the same author in my classroom library, so all students have access to their favorite series.
