These materials will create a more enjoyable learning environment for children without them even knowing it. In today's society, children are often engaged by technology and handheld devices; however, in my classroom I would like to make reading paper books a more enjoyable experience. With the reading nooks, the children will have flexible seating, creative ways to store books, and a great way for the children to learn to interact and share a reading space. I have also always had a soft spot in my heart for animals and would love to teach children as early as age 5 the importance of caring for other living beings. The guinea pig materials will be used for our weekly pet caretaker to take care of Albus Krum, our class guinea pig! We want to make sure that Albus has an enjoyable time in our classroom as well!
