Flexible Seating options such as wobble stools, floor seating donut chairs, yoba ball chairs , and bungee saucer seats allow students to learn while having their individual sensory input needs met. Additionally, it allows them free movement without restriction. Items such as flex bands and light sensor strips allow students with sensory needs to constructively fidget and reduce extraneous stimuli, thus increasing their ability to learn and focus. As with all students' education, one size does NOT fit all and flexible seating allows all students to learn in the ways that best suit them individually. Research supports flexible seating and maintains that it increases focus and overall health. Kayla Delzer reported that benefits of flexible seating include " burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increased motivation and engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. It's no surprise that physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior. "
