My first graders tell their own stories by creating books. Bookmaking is key in my class. Published authors are our mentors. Picture books fill our classroom. I want my students to illustrate their work using watercolors to bring their stories to life. My first graders learn the importance of time management through a monthly calendar. We note important events while learning how calendars work.
