These magazines will reinforce the literacy-rich environment I strive to create in my classroom. It is extremely important that as my students go out into the world, they are able to understand and process all of the information that is coming their way through various outlets and that they are able to form their own opinions based on exploration of multiple viewpoints. These magazines will be used not only as an assignment where student will analyze development of argument, audience, and tone, but also as a way to keep them engaged in rigorous reading material even after they have finished their daily tasks.

About my class
