Flexible seating allows students to break out of the traditional seating model and use various locations within the classroom to practice skills, complete group projects, develop writing ideas and achieve their goals during their workday, with the decision being offered to the student to continually work towards making choices that funnel themselves to successful outcomes. You might see 3 students at a low table sitting on wobble pads, while in another area you might see 2 students at a normal height table balancing on wobble stools. Research has shown that this type of seating reduces fidgety behavior and accelerates brain engagement during learning.
