As a counselor, I go into every K-5 classroom and teacher social-emotional learning lessons. I teach about responsibility, empathy, friendship and several other areas. These books cover a variety of topics that will be used in my lessons with the students. I will use the books as read alouds to catch the students' attention and introduce the lesson for the day. The books will be left in the classrooms for a week and the teachers can use them to continue the lesson skill. The books give the kids examples and experiences they otherwise wouldn't have. Books are a great teaching tool.
