These books will help students learn different units across all subject areas. Each book chosen will be used during read aloud as well as options for student to read on their own. Growing up in the school system I never got the opportunity to explore a variety of texts that showed diversity or let me read about different subjects I was learning about, and with this project I really took those memories to heart and want to give my students what I was unable to get as a student their own age. Through various literary lessons being taught, I will use these various texts that go along with each lesson as an opener when students are learning new key information.
