As a first-year teacher, I was extremely excited to begin teaching students to learn how to LOVE reading. A good book can stay in a child's mind forever. I will practice not only reading to my class every day but also independent reading as well. Reading is a passport to countless adventures, a lot of these children have a home life that is less than ideal and books are a magnificent way to escape-Reading gives them somewhere to go when they have to stay where they are. They will be able to choose from countless books that will interest them and make them want to read more. One great book can start a chain reaction for a love of all books.

About my class
