Students need to move, but there needs to be organization. A beneficial way to do this is use a classroom carpet. Students have assigned places on the carpet where differentiation can occur through conversations of students in front and sides. As the teacher I will be strategic in where students are placed to maximize student interaction. This carpet will make a difference in my student learning because it will add a place for everyone not just at their desk, but in our classroom conversations. The learning outcomes will be infused into every subject as far as assigned places and classroom camaraderie. The over reaching goal is the fact that students have spots on the carpet that make sure that learning is occurring constantly throughout the day in every area of the classroom.
