These devices will help students learn to navigate online learning sites while reinforcing foundational skills during literacy and math centers. These devices will allow students to work independently on targeted content and activities. Students are currently struggling with decoding words and number sense. The Fire tablets will provide access to leveled books to build fluency and comprehension. In addition, students can use programs like IXL to reinforce and build grade level specific skills, such as addition facts and number discretion. Moreover, these devices can aid in progress monitoring academic growth, thus, allowing me to help bridge the gap between where students are and where they need to be.
