In the coming year, I will be welcoming fifteen brilliant students into my classroom. My teammates and I want to get our students involved in more project based learning. Our kids are so engaged when they're moving around. It seems odd to keep them confined to desks all day. It's time to get up and moving. My students need a place where they can get out of their seats and be comfortable during groups and stations. We do lots of hands-on science activities in our classroom. It would be wonderful to have more space for the kids to move around and get thinking. This space would also be a great additional work space for our STEAM projects. Our class should be comfortable and welcoming to anybody who visits. Right now, classroom carpets and soft seating options are the major pieces missing from our class.
