Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently my students have hardly any seating at all. Their only choice is to work on older chairs that are cracked or squeaky. My kids appreciate anything I bring into the classroom and they would be beyond thrilled at the possibility of getting new and innovative seating options. I'm slowly trying to build a classroom and lab that will help my kids feel comfortable and help them focus on their futures.
