Being in a classroom with multiple students at various reading levels, ranging from first to fifth grade, these reading materials will allow me to accommodate all students within my classroom. The Power Pens, practice cards, and daily practice journals will be fun and easy ways for students to work on their reading comprehension and fluency skills. Being a new teacher, I haven’t accumulated enough resources to accommodate all reading levels, which has hindered reading growth. By allowing my students access to these materials I’ll be able to improve their reading skills, which will translate to all other subjects, as well as increased reading levels and comprehension skills.
