Our school was built in 1966. It does not have air conditioning. My classroom faces south and gets all of the afternoon sun in our large picture windows. We close our blinds and turn down the lights to try to keep the classroom cool, with little success. There are days when our classroom has reached 89 degrees F; students wilt and have a difficult time focusing on their work - definitely not the best environment for creative problem solving. We are in dire need of a cooler environment. By donating to this project, you will be caring for their physical and emotional needs which will also help them to reach higher academic achievement.
