My students will benefit from having hands on activities such as the Unlock learning numbers and alphabets. They will be able to increase their retention by having to focus to find the matching lock and keys. Changing instruction to hands-on activities can significantly increase their retention rates. It can be increased as much as 75% from 30% with just lecturing. Finding the Letter activity will help students that are kinesthetic learner that need to feel and perform the task themselves. I will be able to provide different learning opportunities for all types of learners. Having block and gears can help build their imagination. The alphabet pops can build fine gross motor skills and enhance their matching abilities. Foam magnets will help them make patterns and work on motor skills. Having different hands-on activities will also provide problem solving skills and self-correcting. I want to provide hands-on activites into learning to help further retention and provide understanding for my students.
