Our students are awesome! Despite the fact that most of our students come from low-income areas, they love our school. There are no supermarkets or departments stores in this community. Everything tends to focus around the school and the local churches. There is a strong sense of community. Because our school has been designated as a school improvement status, we have received grant money that has purchased computers for our library. Our district and our principal have provided new flooring, paint, and some furniture to update the outdated library. Funds were depleted before we could purchase some seating for students to use the computers. The colorful yoga balls would be used in a corner accent area to entice students into the library to do research and check out books.
