The supplies I am requesting for my students are classroom sets. They will be used by my FIRST ever students since graduating in May 2019, but they will also be used for MANY classrooms to come. These supplies will help enrich the classroom for the students because they will maximize our potential to do many activities. Also, they will allow us to get into our science, math, reading, and social studies plans. Using manipulatives is very important in the classroom to help support learning. I want to create a rich environment that allows my classroom to succeed. The classroom set of scissors, rulers, markers, color pencils, erasers, red pens, and glue will be used that all my students will have access to. This could be used in a variety of subjects in the classroom. The science materials, like the microscope, will be used for the science curriculum. For example, in fourth grade, students learn about plants. The microscope is able to be projected from a computer, thus the students could all see different slides of different plants and plant cells. The slides will allow the students to create their own plant onion slides. The rulers and math manipulatives will be used during math time. The rulers will be a classroom set. The manipulatives will be used when discussing fractions or decimals.
