Setting a strong foundation for reading is a big goal of mine in my 1st Grade classroom. I teach in a Title 1 school, where most of my students come from low-income households. Providing them with access to many things to help them grow is my ultimate goal in preparing them for the grades after once they leave my room. When students are given the right materials needed to learn they become the leader of their own learning. Some of the best memories I had in elementary school were escaping through the adventures in a books and the many fun things that happended in the classroom. The donations to this project and all my others will increase the amount of instruction, learning, and growing my students can achieve in our classroom. They will be able to engage themselves in the story and escape on their own adventures.
