Having the freedom to learn in a variety of settings increases student success. As a special educator, teaching using multiple strategies and approaches is common practice, however, new ways of educating students who have special needs are constantly changing. "The Failure Free Reading" program uses a different pathway and non-phonic approach to learning. Failure Free Reading Online is research-based and is a nationally recognized software. This program will provide my students with a different way of learning and understanding instruction without the roadblocks that prevent comprehension. FFR will enhance learning for my students, maximize reading and comprehension, and accelerate reading at a higher instructional level. Typically my students need small group instruction within the general education and resource setting due to traditional teaching approaches and programs. With the FFR program, my students will have more freedom and flexibility to learn while still meeting the needs of the school, district, and statewide standards and expectations. My goal is to be successful in equipping my students with the necessary tools needed to be successful in 5th grade and beyond.
