The rug isn’t just a rug in the classroom. It’s a space that students are eager to be at. They know learning and growth happens in that space. I want them to feel comfortable while they learn. The rug provides comfort as well as another resource to use. It’s a teaching tool, that provides a visual aid for students. It’s going to allow me to run my classroom more smoothly because the student will know where they need to sit. When it’s time to share our thoughts we will come to this space. When it’s time to talk about what will happen during the day they will come to this space.
