The students that I serve on a daily basis are indulged in technology every day but have no experience of an integrated technology classroom. My goal as their 6th-grade teacher Social Studies Teacher is to engage in topics while having the world on their fingertips! By incorporating Kindle Fires, Plickers, one-to-one computers and products like Nearpod can help students understand that with expectations and guidelines technology can be used appropriately in the classroom. Also, a lot of my students are not familiar with handling technical devices besides their phone. I believe by introducing concrete skills of technology in the classroom students will be able to incorporate those skills when completing their mock exams which are online.
