My first graders come to school each day energetic and ready to learn. They enjoy movement and hands-on activities most. It is hard for them to stay engaged while sitting in hard plastic chairs. They often get fidgety and restless. I would like to provide them a classroom that gives them comfortable options that will motivate the, to learn. Providing this flexible seating will promote student creativity through options that are designed to foster his/her natural movement. Students will also learn how to collaborate with their peers by learning how to take turns and share the seating options provided through this project.
