My hope for this project is for my PE students to be motivated to move more, be positively reinforced in their behavior, and to have positive recognition in front of their classmates. All students will receive this opportunity through a Treasure Box Incentive Program. The way it works: Students are frequently recognized for effort, attitude, and sportsmanship throughout the their time in PE. Each time they are recognized, the student will place a ticket in their class jar with the students' name on it. Each Friday, the teacher will draw 2-3 names out of the jar. Students whose name are drawn will be able to choose from the treasure box. Students LOVE to be recognized for their efforts. this type of positive reward system will allow for ALL students to be recognized for their efforts. Students will become self-motivated and responsible for their own behavior. They will also be inspired by others' efforts, which in turn will create a positive environment. I have 12 groups that come through the gym every 2 days. Each group has 40-55 students. The treasure box will contain small trinkets as well as tickets for things such as 1. First in Line 2. Exercise Leader 3. Walk/Run & Talk with a friend. What I will need: !. Trinkets! (small toys) 2. A Treasure Box 3. 12 Containers 4. Tickets
