Special project are a big grade for FACS classes. We have self awareness boards, fashion boards, home design projects and food nutrition posters. When students do not have to stress of finding funds to purchase supplies, they will be more excited to work and actually complete their assignments. My students will have special projects during the year and these supplies will help them complete their projects without additional stress of where to find the money to buy these supplies. In my classroom they also learn life skills including manners. They are required to send thank you cards to someone that has helped them. If they have cards available, hopefully, they will continue this act of kindness throughout the year.
