Hands-on laboratory experience is critical to student success in AP Biology. In fact, the course has a 25% minimum lab requirement. Lab experience allows students to build skills in the areas of problem solving, mathematics and computational thinking, argumentation, developing and using models to communicate scientific phenomena, and planning and executing investigations. The materials I am requesting are resources that are aligned to AP Biology learning objectives and are designed to be highly engaging for my super scientists. Topics like photosynthesis and cellular respiration, osmosis, bacterial transformation and enzyme activity are better learned by doing and these lab kits will really help my students connect to the content.
