This iPad will make a difference in our students' lives and learning because they will be able to participate in a group versus one-on-one when learning social skills. With the use of an individualized iPad in a group setting, each student will be able to respond and learn from each other while practicing newly-learned social skills together. This will provide them a social group where they can learn to communicate, develop conversation skills, and maintain friendships. These skills, which typical individuals take for granted, are skills our students work diligently on daily. Opportunities, such as these, provide our students the ability to build their communication and relationship skills so that when they exit Children Services and enter the adult world they will be globally understood and find a place in the integrated world.
