My second graders are coming into my classroom with a wide variety of interests, reading levels, and feelings about reading. In order to ensure that all my students have access to quality reading materials, I need books for my students on a wide variety of reading levels. This allows all my students to find books they can read independently that are at that "just right" level for them. I want my classroom library to be a place where students can gain confidence in their reading! By ensuring every student has access to books they are able to read, students will be able to read independently with books that meet their interests.
