My first graders have short attention spans and can benefit from working at their seats to being able to work on a carpet area. This will allow us to sit together and have daily class meetings where we can discuss how our day is going and things we may be struggling with. This will also be a great area for my students to sit to have our math meeting and will allow everyone to sit together. My students love to be out of their seats to complete work and would be able to lay and complete work on a clip board. I would also love to be able to have them all sit together and read.
