Students will be able to choose from different types of seats. I choose seats that will allow them to move and wiggle as needed, while still doing their work. We will use seats on a rotating basis during math stations so that all students have an opportunity to choose alternative seating. This will allow students to sit and work comfortably and move as needed in order to meet their sensory needs. Some other classes in our school have used the flexible seating and reported very positive results both behaviorally and academically. Students learn better when they are in a comfortable learning environment and I hope this is one more way to help meet their needs to be successful.
