My classroom is 1:1 with devices but is not supplied with headphones to use. Headphones are needed to enhance learning by not only enabling the children to hear their programs but also tuning out any distractions. Children can stop focusing on everyone else and really focus on themselves and the task at hand. Some children in my classroom cannot afford nice headphones and I don’t want any child to be without or have the anxiety about not having headphones come day of needing them. If I have these headphones in my classroom, it will limit the unnecessary distraction of different programs on the devices all playing at once as well as the worry from a child without.
