I am first year teacher teaching 5th grade in a low income school. My students love to read, but many of them do not have books at home. For some of them, school is the only place they can read grade appropriate books. Seeing their face light up when they get behind a book that pulls them in is beyond gratifying. With your help my students will blossom into fantastic readers. Whenever we have free time during class the first thing that my students ask is if they can read. As of right now, I do not have that many books in our classroom library, so my students have been sharing books when they can. Adding these books to our classroom library would make an impact on each of my students. Thank you so much!
