Gone are the days of assessing students' mastery of standards with a "unit test". I want my students to take ownership of their learning! Podcasting is a great way for students to research and understand literature and historical events and to communicate what they know to peers and the world. Students often learn more through projects and each other. Creating podcasts on a bi-weekly basis would be a relevant and exciting way for my students to show what they know. My schools' model of education doesn't allow for class presentations. This is an ideal way to increase my students' engagement with their subject matter!
