Sensory is a huge part in a preschoolers day. Children use their senses to explore different objects. You remember most when you are able to use your senses, you remember what it felt like, what it smelled like, sounded like. Those senses trigger memories to certain items. Sensory play is crucial to little ones brain development and helps build connections in the brain pathways. It will lead to children to be able to make more complex decisions and helps with cognitive skills, language skills, gross and fine motor skills, problem solving skills and also social interaction skills. Sensory play is also great for calming anxious or frustrated children.
