Students will use the supplies to create anchor charts, posters, complete lab work, and in class assignments. We do a lot of drawing and writing in science and it is easier if the supplies are provided rather than students having to hunt in the backpacks. Eighth grade is a difficult grade and anything I can offer the students in my classroom is extremely helpful and more conducive for learning. Students will be engaged and focused if they can see and write in color and if it is in their own handwriting. Students will use these strategies throughout the year and beyond.
