Some of my kindergarteners don't know any letter when they start in September. We use a lot of pictures, especially their own pictures. If they are printed in black and white, it's no fun! In order to motivate my students, a color printer is the resolution. We can print their pictures and works in colors. After they finish their community helpers book in computers, we can print them in colors! They will feel proud of their works and more engage to produce more works! Also, our school is a Title 1 school, it's hard to get copies and notebooks. We often make our own games in the Math and Literacy centers. Let the games to look more like games. Would you rather play black and white games or colorful games?
