The books that you will be donating will give students a variety of high interest literature that they can choose from during independent and partner reading times. Do you remember the moment when you picked up a book and enjoyed reading it? I want every child in my classroom to be able to locate a book that they love and begin building a life-long love for reading! When it comes to becoming a great reader, the most important thing at this stage is practice! By providing a large selection of books, you are giving these students a chance to grow not only their ability to read, but also their love of reading through finding books that they love! Once they find books they love, they will be motivated to read more books and therefore, practice more and develop their reading skills.
