These bins will not be a one-time activity. The STEM bins will be used throughout many lessons regardless of subject. Many challenges can spur beyond science and cross into language arts, social studies, and math. There is an endless number of possibilities and potential of what the students can do with the materials. In my classroom, I don’t like to give busy work. I want to utilize these bins each morning on a rotation to allow students a chance to start the day off with a fun way to use their critical thinking skills and as a way to build community in my classroom.
