Beyond art skills, kids who participate in the arts also build 21st century skills like: problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, visual literacy, social and global awareness, care for studio materials, perseverance, integrity, meeting deadlines, how to give and receive constructive feedback, and so much more. Kids who participate in the arts build self-confidence and self-worth. They learn who they are as people. They are more likely to stay in school. They are more empathetic humans.
