First grade is full of new and fun learning in both reading and Math! This year students will be expanding their reading and mathematical skills in numerous ways. Therefore, supplemental materials are crucial. Having new books, dry erase spots, phonics resources, and counting resources will complement each lesson and learning opportunity. In the same way, flexible seating for my students will foster their ability to be highly engaged in their learning by providing the flexibility and comfort they need. Flexible seating will enable students to work in groups or partners and create eagerness as they are able to sit in different spots in the room and take ownership of their own learning. Having new learning materials and resources in my classroom, will help me provide my students with the best learning experience they deserve.
