All of these supplies for the classroom already have a "home". The golf pencils will be used for daily writing for tiny hands. The multicultural markers will be used for the unique children in our room. The paper organizers will allow students to access paper easily. The Osmo activity set for younger learners will provide students with different ways to play with letter sounds and experiment with words. The Osmo activity set for ages 6-10 will enrich those learners who have a grasp on the alphabet and are ready for more challenging material. The "Sprout and Grow Window" will allow students to watch a plant grow through all stages. The LEGO Simple Machines set is for learners to experiment with science, building, and how machines work, even possibly creating little engineers in the process.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful writing about their experiences.
Additionally, in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology.
