The goal of this project is to set up a Math Workshop for middle school students. The materials needed will help with organizing and implementing a math workshop. In order to set up well run math workshop we need supplies that can help make sure the students have all of the materials needed to succeed. These materials will help the students work in small groups and become organized while working. The white boards will be used for students to show their work while in a teacher led center or while working and helping each other out in the independent group. The markers, pencils, crayons, and scissors will help use have hand on activities that will keep more students engaged in math. The goal of the math workshop is to make sure that every student is caught before they feel that they are completely lost and want to give up on math. When students leave my classroom, I want them to become more confident mathematicians. The math workshop can help students become more confident because they get the help before they feel completely lost and they also can help a fellow peer understand the concept.
