These varieties of flexible seating options will help my students be engaged in our math and science lessons through fostering autonomy and collaboration in our fifth-grade classroom. These seating options will be integrated into our classroom during whole group lessons, individual work, and partner or group activities. As my students gain autonomy in the classroom, they will learn beneficial Socio-Emotional Learning skills, such as making responsible decisions and communicating clearly with others through collaboration. I am excited for my students to be able to take control of and become more empowered in their individual learning process and to further develop these Socio-Emotional Learning competencies.

About my class
