I am requesting learning materials to offer my students hands on learning opportunities and flexible seat. My goal is to provide a variety in types of materials to differentiate for various styles of learning. I am asking for building and creating manipulatives, an alphabet matching game, plastic dry erase sheet protectors for writing practice, emotion blocks to help children work through their emotions and card stock to print out activities. Young children learn best though play and hands on experiences which strengthens fine motor muscles to help develop writing skills and allows young learns to make sense of new information. Offering flexible seating allows children to move there bodies but still remain on task. I am asking for stools for small group time, sit spots for our meeting area and wobble cushions for our library area and to be used when needed.
