My students often struggle to stay focused during class and need to move around often. A traditional desk setting does not provide them with any opportunity for movement. Students become uncomfortable and distracted by the desks and are often asking to sit on the floor or at the teacher's desk. I want my students to see seating options and to understand that learning can be done in a fun and flexible environment! My students each have unique learning styles and I want to provide as many options as possible for them find what works best for them. Standard desks work for some, but certainly not all! This project would allow more options than the original classroom concept.
